Join me on Tuesday afternoons for Digital Camera Classes... Digital Camera Course I really enjoy teaching this fun course for beginners which is offered through The Technology Alliance Group for Kawartha Lakes (TAG), located at 50 Mary St. W., Lindsay. Details and descriptions are listed below. The course consists of 4 classes. Classes are two hours each. Space is limited. This course is designed to teach the point and shoot digital camera user how to go beyond the Auto setting. (Please note: this course is not recommended for SLR users). Topics will include: basic and advanced camera settings, menu features, flash, using zoom, macro, in-camera options for dealing with various lighting situations and more. Also, compositional elements and other tips for taking better pictures will be discussed. The final lesson will look at organizing your photos on the computer. This class will teach you about camera settings, menu features, memory cards and all the basics! Week 2: Digital Photography When: Tuesday, January 31 2-4pm Where: 50 Mary St. W., Lindsay Description: Learn how to take great pictures using composition, flash, zoom and macro settings as well as options for various light conditions and more. Week 3:Advanced Digital Photography When: Tuesday, February 7 2-4pm Where: 50 Mary St. W., Lindsay Description: Learn how to reduce the grainy look of photos, operate manual focus and exposure bracketing. Review pictures with more detail using histograms to judge brightness. Record movies and perform basic editing functions on your camera. Week 4: Organizing Photos When: Tuesday, February 14 2-4pm Where: 50 Mary St. W., Lindsay Description: So you’ve taken some great photos but not sure what to do with them?
